March 29, 2016 – Badoo is working to make online dating safer, reports Tech Crunch, after launching photo-verification and verified profiles.
After signing up, users will be asked to verify their profile before proceeding. Those who choose not to do so may be blocked from getting full access to all profiles. Once a profile is verified, Badoo will send a request for an uncommon photo, which can be verified within one minute from the company’s vast network of worldwide moderators.
With 300 million registered users in more than 190 countries and some 400,000 people signing up every day, Badoo is the largest Internet dating website worldwide. While most users are from Europe and South America, the company is opening an office in the US to further its reach in North America.
